Before You Purchase Whittier Wood Furniture Online:
A Few Important Considerations

leaf_grn.png

Thank you for considering Whittier Wood Furniture for your home! We take great pride in building quality solid wood furniture that is designed to be enjoyed

for generations.

As you compare pricing between retailers, we understand that finding the best price is important. However, before making your purchase, we encourage you to consider a few important differences between purchasing through an authorized local furniture retailer and buying from an online seller offering a lower price.

1. Shipping Distance and the Risk of
Freight Damage

Every piece of Whittier Wood furniture begins its journey at our warehouse in Eugene, Oregon. From there, it ships to the retailer, where it is received, inspected, and prepared for delivery to your home.

When purchasing from an online retailer located far from your home, your furniture may travel significantly farther than necessary. For example, a purchase from an East Coast retailer being delivered to a home in the Midwest could travel from Oregon to the East Coast, only to make the trip back across the country.

Every additional mile and handling point increases the opportunity for freight damage. Purchasing through a local authorized retailer can help minimize unnecessary transportation and handling while providing a more direct path to

your home.

2. Professional Delivery and Assembly Matter

Whittier Wood furniture is constructed from solid wood and hardwood construction. That means it is substantial, heavy, and often bulky. Our products are not designed for the typical do-it-yourself delivery and assembly experience.

We partner with authorized furniture retailers throughout the country because they have the professional delivery teams, equipment, and experience necessary to properly handle, deliver, and assemble our furniture in your home.

Traditional parcel and residential freight services, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, and R+L Carriers, are not appropriate substitutes for the specialized furniture delivery and setup our products require.

With an authorized retail partner, you have the added confidence of knowing your furniture is being handled by professionals who understand how to properly deliver and assemble it.

3. Protecting Your Whittier Wood Warranty

This is perhaps the most important consideration.

Whittier Wood's warranty is contingent upon purchasing through an authorized retail partner and having the furniture delivered and assembled by that authorized retailer. Furniture purchased online and delivered or assembled outside of this authorized retail process is not covered by the Whittier Wood warranty.

This includes damage that may occur during shipping, handling, or assembly. A lower initial purchase price may ultimately become a much more expensive decision if something goes wrong and warranty protection is unavailable.

Our Recommendation: Consider the Complete
Purchase Experience

At Whittier Wood Furniture, we believe the value of your purchase extends well beyond the price on the invoice. It includes the quality of the furniture, the care taken in getting it to your home, professional delivery and assembly, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing your purchase is protected.

We encourage you to work with an authorized Whittier Wood retail partner who can provide the complete experience our furniture deserves.

After all, our goal isn't simply to sell you a piece of furniture. It's to build something you'll enjoy for years to come.

Thank you for considering Whittier Wood Furniture.
