How should I care for my furniture?

Caring for your Whittier furniture is as easy as light dusting, or occasionally cleaning with a damp cloth. For specific care questions reach out to us at info@whittierwood.com or view our Owner’s Manual and Safety Guide.

Where is Whittier furniture made?

Whittier is based in Eugene, Oregon, where we have our distribution facility and headquarters. We own and operate our facility in Vietnam where we focus on making the best quality furniture possible. We have some manufacturing done in Eugene, OR.

What is your furniture made from?

All of our furniture is made from a combination of solid wood and veneered hardwood plywood. There is never any MDF or particleboard in Whittier furniture. American Alder, Walnut and American White Oak feature prominently in our collections.

What is the benefit of solid wood furniture?

Solid wood furniture is known for its beauty, strength, ease of repair and longevity. Whittier uses the best cuts and highest grade of lumber to create a truly beautiful piece that should last through generations. What is veneered hardwood?

For strength and stability, our construction includes veneer over hardwood plywood. Plywood is exceptionally strong and a cost effective alternative to large sizes of solid wood. It does not contain wood chips or fillers. Veneer is a thin slice of wood known to be versatile and resistant to expansion and contraction.

Whittier is proud to stand behind our products. We offer a limited warranty on all manufacturing defects for two years. However, don’t hesitate to reach out to us whenever something pops up. Our experienced customer service staff will be happy to help.

Can you modify a product?

Our manufacturing process does not lend itself to customization.

Can you send me samples of finishes and fabrics?
